The whole place was really beautifully done and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the spaciousness of the dining area and the kitchen was really well equipped and instructions were really clear.

I don't think there was any fault with the cottage itself.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and had a cosy atmosphere. It was clean, and the location made it easy to explore nearby areas. The property had character, and the kitchen was well-equipped.

The parking situation was difficult, and the listing overstates the available space. The road outside is busy, and turning right out of the property feels unsafe. The mattresses were extremely firm and uncomfortable—I struggled to sleep, and it caused back pain. The welcome pack was generic; as a pregnant guest, prosecco wasn’t useful, and I would have appreciated decaf options or milk in the fridge, especially when arriving late with young children. One of the bedrooms was too small to move around comfortably. The stairs were steep and squeaky, making it hard to move around quietly at night. I requested a high chair, but none was provided. The cleaning tasks expected from guests (e.g., stripping beds, emptying bins) were unexpected—I would expect these to be handled by the cleaning team, not paying guests.
