The Cabin
Smokey Waters lives up to its name with a private heated indoor pool, built for families and groups who want a swim, a movie, and a mountain view all under one roof. This multi-story lodge opens to a great room with soaring ceilings, a stone fireplace, and big windows framing the ridgeline. Traveled with family from VA. House was fantastic. Hot tub was cold when we got there, but host responded quickly on how to fix, and it heated up very fast. My kids loved the pool on the bottom floor, and the theatre room was great. The hot tub overlooks the mountains in the background. The house is only about a 10 min drive to the main road, where everything is off of. Great location.

The cabin is amazing. Tons of space for a family. Beautiful view. Highly recommend. Only complaint was that the hot tub needed attention within a few days of a 7 day stay. Hosts only solution was to pay for a mid stay clean. Still would rate this place 5/5!

Property was close to the main attractions like the island and just a short drive to Gatlinburg. Home was clean and well stocked with dishes, and extra blankets. We really enjoyed staying here with our big group. Host responded quickly anytime I had a question.

The cabin is nice….but….The hot tub was not working it was green and dirty full of bugs and slimy. The cover was broken, and two rods were sticking up high where the cover should have been, I texted them right away about that. They kept promising to have someone come and fix & clean the hot tub…. well they did come and fix it (not the cover, just clean the hot tub) but it was on the very last day we were there. Still no cover “broken” Day one the upstairs AC was not working, I texted them right away and they promised to have someone come look at it. No one showed up until two days later, but they supplied us with floor fans. The technicians came to fix it. But it still didn’t cool upstairs. The trash was never picked up, we had to have bags of trash in the kitchen because the bins were full. The gas grill is small but did do its job. The grill itself was very dirty, we had to clean it and the base of the grill was so filed with left over grease and food that had fallen down, we even had to clean the heat tents and the grates were discussing.I liked the resort, but I would not get this cabin again. They did offer to refund me 380..but I don’t think that’s enough for what we in-counted. My grandkids did like the pool area( which needs up keeping, there is dirt and rust from the stools all over the floor near the two chairs. I just hope that whoever stays there next will have a better stay than we did.
