Perfect for family stay, or even a couple of families together. Set on 5 acres of beautiful gardens and bushland, close to beaches and with an amazing open log fire this warm and inviting home is the perfect retreat in both summer and winter.
Your home-away-from-home has a fully equipped kitchen, large TV with DVD player, wireless internet, fire pit and wrap-around verandah with outdoor dining area. The kitchen is well-set up for those who love to cook up a storm, and caters for coffee lovers too with a Nescafe pod coffee machine and Moka Espresso Maker. The bathroom has the convenience of both separate shower and toilet rooms, as well as a full sized bath, great for washing sandy kids after the beach! Sleeping up to 11 people in comfort, including a great bunk room perfect for the kids, the kids are well-catered for with books, toys and games and so much space to explore.
This pet-friendly home has farm-stay appeal with a huge block where you can sit and watch the kangaroos and listen to the bird life, all less than a ten minute stroll into town. As well as stunning beaches, Merimbula has many fabulous restaurants and lots to do for the whole family, with all the fun of Magic Mountain almost at your doorstep. We had a lovely and very memorable family getaway, the house itself held a lot of character and charm. Situated amongst the edge of bushland we were able to hear an abundance of bird song each day, kangaroos and possums regular visitors to the property. Ros was very responsive to all my questions and dilemmas during our 10night stay, the house is large and plenty of room for everybody - the kitchen area was my favourite with plenty of cooking space. As a family we spent most of our days either Swimming at the beach or fishing off the Wharfs- 2 mins to Merimbula and 25 mins the other direction to Tathra made this location ideal, at night movies on the big screen in the huge lounge room or games. FYI- we have a very small and active cavoodle (7.5kgs), who unfortunately was able to fit through the verandah balustrades who then chased the kangaroos in the valley below in case you too have a small and quick little furry friend. Thank you again Ros for welcoming us into your beautiful space and for helping us make more beautiful memories with my family for the beginning of 2026.

We had a fantastic stay, the house is large enough to fit 6 adults comfortably & has an inviting homely feel, nestled in amongst lush flora we were surrounded by birdsong & Kangaroos. We especially loved been able to gather around the open fire at night. Our 2 puppies Shi Wei & Mui Mui were very excited to be able to run round the deck freely & snuffle out the kangaroos & Echidna which had visited us during the night. We discovered fabulous restaurants, fashion shops, cafes & fish & chips all in close proximity ( about 15 mins walk) from the house so no need to travel outside the Merimbula area, if you did want to travel then beautiful Pambula is a short drive away. The beaches & lakes are pristine, our puppies had a fabulous time exploring & rolling on the sand. If you visit Merimbula in Spring then a trip on the boat out to watch the Humpback Whale migration is a must do, we were so lucky to be up close & personal with these amazing sea creatures.A huge thanks to our host Ros you have a wonderful holiday house, we will be back to stay again soon.
