Custom window treatments, designer light fixtures and built-in lighting, and a blend of custom modern and antique designer furnishings, and soothing, relaxing color scheme used throughout. We hope you enjoy our special cottage!
Bedroom 1:
One queen bed with en-suite full bathroom and small walk-in closet. Custom, lined roman shades. Beautiful high ceilings and natural light. Room also features a nightstand dresser with drawers, desk and desk chair and armoire. The en-suite bathroom features full-size soaking tub with hand-held shower wand as well as stand alone shower head, plus marble tile, pedestal sink, and shelf console.
Bedroom 2:
One full/double bed, dresser with three drawers, and a full bathroom. Custom black-out shades on every window in this room. There is a back door off the bedroom, a passage to the back patio. There is a door with curtain between the kitchen and this back bedroom and bath area, so when the door is closed, the bedroom and bath become a totally private "suite,” similar to an en-suite bathroom arrangement. This bathroom also serves as the “main bath.” This bathroom features an original Victorian claw foot tub with a shower attachment for handheld or over-the-tub use.
Sitting Room/Den:
Small sitting room with a couch that pulls out into a double bed. When the bed is down, there is no space on either side of the bed and a very tiny space between end of bed and door. The doors are glass french doors with semi-opaque shades. This room is perfect for additional sleeping space, or when bed is not pulled out, cozy relaxation!
Kitchen:
The fully-equipped kitchen is ready for preparing meals when you want to dine in, but just steps away, being a block from Lighthouse Avenue, are numerous Pacific Grove eateries. New stainless steel appliances, sink disposal, new cookware, and fully stocked with cutlery, plentiful cooking supplies, microwave, annd other and appliances.
Living Room:
Beautifully designed living room with high ceilings and natural light features a comfy sofa, two accent chairs, coffee table, Smart TV with streaming service, electric fireplace, and a door to front balcony. The living room sofa pulls out for to offer additional sleeping.
Dining Room:
Pedestal round dining table to seat 4-6. Leaf available to expand into a more roomy arrangement. Six chairs are provided. Dimmable lighting.
Entryway/Foyer:
Antique dresser containing stereo and built-in sound system (with Bluetooth capability plus ability to play individual build in speakers by every room, including living room, kitchen, primary bedroom), a sitting area with two accent chairs and ottoman in front of a bay window. Dimmable lighting.
Laundry:
Stacking washer/dryer unit conveniently located inside the house, off the back bedroom. Unit is inside a closet with a door that shuts to minimize any sound.
Backyard:
Small, charming brick patio gathering area surrounded by vines, with a small sofa, two chairs, a gas fire pit, and a new BBQ grill and tools.
Front Balcony:
Two armchairs for relaxing, with a view of the ocean off to the side.
Beach Equipment:
Back shed holds 4 beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys available for your use.
Location:
From the cottage, it’s just a two-minute stroll to downtown Pacific Grove’s delicious restaurants, eclectic shops and neighborhood movie theater. Or head 600 feet toward Lover’s Point to relax on the beach, explore tide pools, or rent kayaks and SUPs to enjoy in the peaceful cove. Right at Lover’s Point, you can rent bikes for a short easy ride to one of the world class beaches in the Monterey Bay; Asilomar Beach, Spanish Bay Beach in Pebble Beach, and more. Or head out on foot for a scenic 15-minute walk along the coastal trail to Monterey Bay Aquarium and historic Cannery Row or the other direction toward Asilomar and Spanish Bay. The quaint village of Carmel, the historic sites of Monterey and the world-class golf courses of Pebble Beach are a 10-minute drive.
Note: In the Primary Bedroom, there is a loft area (not to be accessed or used) with a window and no shade, so this room cannot be fully darkened during daylight hours.
Quiet hours:
Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM by town ordinance. Our neighborhood is quiet, and our neighbors take quiet enjoyment of their properties. No interior noise (music, TV, electronic, or human) can be audible to neighbors during quiet hours.
