The breakfast was very tasty, with different options every day. Contrary to what some other guests had mentioned the internet was very good and worked well in the room. It did go off for twenty minutes once but overall was very strong. Candida is a charming and very friendly woman and a proud Nicaraguan, all of which made it a delightful stay. The location might appear to be a con but in my opinion was a pro. A five or ten minute walk into the centre but in a little corner of the city without traffic whizzing around the streets, so it was quiet and calm.

We loved having this authentic experience of staying in Candida’s home and neighborhood! Candida was a wonderful host, she made us delicious breakfast’s and did our laundry ( for a very reasonable rate) She also gave us good information about things to do and see. We loved the neighborhood- people were very friendly and the ice cream lady down the block was lovely.

From the moment we arrived, she surrounded us with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel like family. She has an incredible ability to anticipate our needs and was always there with helpful advice and local tips that enhanced our experience. The morning coffee on the balcony watching the sunrise was absolutely priceless - those quiet moments with that stunning view are memories we'll treasure forever. While the homestay is a bit far from the city center, if you have a car, it's absolutely worth it. The peaceful location and Candida's hospitality more than make up for the distance. Plus, she offers delicious breakfast with plenty of options for just a few extra dollars - great value and wonderfully prepared. If you're looking for an authentic, cozy stay with a host who genuinely cares about making your visit special, Candida's homestay is the perfect choice. We left feeling like we'd made a true friend in Nicaragua. Highly recommended!

The bed was comfortable

The advertised 1USD room is a fake, a way to attract customers, as they will then ask you 11 usd, saying it's an issue they have with booking.com. And they tell you this with a laugh almost making fun of you. The wifi didn't work properly and when I asked the guy he treated me as a stupid person. When going to the toilet I notice there's no sink. When I ask they say that it broke so there's no sink. No apologies no nothing.
