The highlight of the “Heimathafen” apartment (formerly “Toornkieker”) is the unique panoramic view of the New Lighthouse, which you can enjoy from both the living-dining room and the bedroom. The lighthouse is one of the landmarks of the beautiful island of Borkum and offers a stunning view both day and night.
The apartment is also very centrally located: It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the island train station and is situated in a quiet location in the pedestrian zone, right next to the Stadtgärtchen park. The island market is right behind the house, so fresh bread rolls and everyday essentials are just a few steps away. You’ll also find numerous restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The promenade and Nordstrand beach are just a few minutes’ walk away, so you can always spontaneously visit the Borkum seals, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
The apartment in the historic “Mövennest” building is lovingly and comfortably furnished. It features a living-dining room with a well-equipped kitchen, a lovely dining area with a panoramic view through the large, stylish windows typical of older buildings, and a spacious bedroom with a generous closet for your vacation wardrobe. The bathroom was renovated just a few years ago and features bright, cheerful tiles and a low-entry shower. In the building’s basement, a washer and dryer are available for shared use with other guests staying at the house.
