About this cabin rental
Unique cabin located in the historic mining town of Rochford in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Cabin has a full kitchen (with dishwasher), large dining room, 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each), 2 living/family rooms (queen hide-a-bed sofa in each), 2 full bathrooms, and a bar area. Property is near the daily activity of the community (Moonshine Gulch Saloon and Small of America), yet isolated should you desire privacy and relaxation. Enjoy hiking/biking the Mickelson Trail, fishing Rapid Creek, kayaking Deerfield Lake (12 miles), or riding on the numerous ATV/UTV trails or backroads in the area. Winter activities can include hunting, skiing, snowshoeing, or just reading a book and watching it snow. Lead and Deadwood are 20 miles away. Hill City is 25 miles away. Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse are approximately 30-35 miles away. There are roads out of Rochford in every direction leading toward a Black Hills adventure. Should you desire to stay put, enjoy the 15 by 45 foot covered deck with gas grill and gas firepit (under the deck provides sheltered parking for your vehicle), unique decor, satellite tv (4 flat screens), wireless internet, board games, cards, books/magazines, cocktail table arcade video game with 400+ games, and bar area to gather and converse. We'll provide the accommodations, you put together your personal itinerary for a memorable Black Hills getaway.

Such generous hospitality! Although remote, the house was exceptionally clean/homey, the owners anticipated our needs and we were pleased with walking trail live music at Saloon. Thank you to our gracious hosts!

Great place and location! A great area in the hills away from all the hustle bustle and central to everything The cabin was spacious but had a very cozy feel. Hanging out on the deck around the gas fireplace listening to stream was incredible!

We rented this house for some employees working in the area for several weeks, and it was an excellent experience. Rick and Carla are fantastic hosts. They communicate well and timely and it was a pleasure to work with them. They are very thoughtful and kind hosts and I would absolutely rent this house again. The value was very good for the price we paid.
