Garan Vendégház

Prima locatie voor Aggtelek heuvels. Vriendelijk personeel dat veel moeite doet om het naar je zin te maken. Ze ruimden een diepvries la op voor ons en twee planken in de koelkast. We kregen kersen uit de tuin.

Het was bloedheet en er was geen Airco en ook geen Ventilator op de kamer. De faciliteiten in de omgeving vielen tegen. Er was nagenoeg niets open voor avondeten of boodschappen. De lokale economie draait hier duidelijk niet op toerisme. We konden over de grens in Slowakije overigens prima terecht met prima eten en supermarkten dus het was geen probleem.

Remek házigazdák, pazar helyen. Szuper házilekvár és szörp kollekcióval. Mindenképp itt fogunk megszállni legközelebb is 😀 Most nem tudtuk kihasználni a szalonnasütōt. A házigazdák nagyon segítőkészek, jót beszélgettünk .A bolt és az étterem is közel van.

Very well located in the village center of Jósvafő. There is a small supermarket nearby, which is open even in Sunday morning (in 2026). Shared bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen was also accessible from our room, which was very convenient. Cutlery, plates, glasses and a kettle are also available. The stamping spot of the Hungarian Blue Hiking Trail (OKT) is also within walking distance (approx. 500 m), which is a good starting point for hikes to Aggtelek (west) or Bódvaszilas (east). Parking is possible across the road or in the garden.

There was only one wall socket in the room and it was partially out of the wall. It should be fixed.

The host was very pleasant and helpful. The language barrier didn't stop him from helping us. There is a restaurant and bus stop very close by. The accommodation is comfy and pleasant. Perfect location for Josvafo mountain hike. We received a souvenir from the host. There are other souvenirs to buy but please keep cash with you.

There could have been toiletries included. It's a shared place, but we were the only guests, so we didn't have any issues.
