location was ideal for hadrian's wall if you have a car. the house was clean and the facilities were excellent. daughter was happy to have her own room. great communication from host. we had an amazing time.

Lovely house; did not use many of the amenities (e.g., cooker, washing machine, etc.) as only there for 2 nights on our way back from Scotland. We all slept well, the beds were comfortable. Great community pub a few doors down, not open every night though.
A complaint for all places we visited this summer was that the back bedrooms were boiling, especially the top bedroom - please close the curtains to keep the sun out! Luckily, as we arrived around 4.30pm had a chance to cool them down before bedtime. Plenty of tea, coffee, condiments, etc but would have liked a small milk left as well, as no local shops.

The location in Hayton alongside the great location the proximity to the lake district. Inside the house was maintained to a very high standard. Property description is accurate (see vendor info).
Nothing specific, all issues with the property where resolved promptly.

The property was as expected from the listing, clean and comfortable.
Quite spacious and well laid out, comfy beds, good bed linen.
Well equipped kitchen although I would recommend the addition of a tea pot and a roll of paper towels.
The property is well placed in a lovely village.
The house was cold when we arrived although the heating was on but only on low, this was unfortunate as it was the coldest weekend of the year. It took the whole weekend to heat up the lounge even when other parts of the house were fine. There were supposed to be logs provided for the log burner but there were none. So obviously not checked beforehand for bad weather. There was also an issue with the dorma window on the top floor, very noisy at night.
