Hidden City House - short walk to everything

Perfect location, walking distance to downtown but right outside of downtown noise. Very nice house, has all small necessities. Host was very welcoming and gave us tons of great recommendations. If we come to Auckland gain - will definitely stay there!

I stayed here with my sister and our two teenage sons and chose the property for its location and space. It delivered on both. The Sky Tower is just a short walk up the hill, while Viaduct Harbour is an easy walk down the hill. Having three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen was perfect for our group. The boys could sleep in and sort themselves out for breakfast while my sister and I explored the local cafés. A local tip for pizza lovers: when you leave the property, turn left and walk to the end of the street. There's a small road behind the office buildings that brings you out opposite Toto Pizza. It's literally two minutes from the house and well worth a visit.

There was nothing we didn't like, the property suited us beautifully. Just one consideration is the property is across 3 levels - 1 x bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, lounge and kitchen on second floor with the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the third. May not suit someone mobility impaired.

The location is superb. Balcony for enjoying meals, comfortable settee and chairs. Washing machine and clothes airer. Communication with the host was excellent, she even recommended restaurants and cafes in the area.

The only room that had a reverse cycle air conditioner was the living/lounge/kitchen area up the first flight of stairs. The bedroom on the ground floor in front of the garage was hot and that bathroom/shower was very small. The 2 bedrooms up another flight of stars from the living/lounge/kitchen area were very hot and there was only one pedestal fan in the main bedroom which did not assuage the heat. The share bathroom on the top floor was a good size.
