Vishwa Retreat Hotel

A very pleasant hotel, located slightly outside the centre of Kandy but still within walking distance of the Temple of the Tooth and the city’s main attractions. The rooms are new, modern and exceptionally spacious, well designed and equipped with everything you might need, including a fridge, kettle and plenty of space to hang and store your clothes. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and quality. We also used the laundry service, which was very efficient: our clothes came back perfectly clean and smelling wonderfully fresh. Another highlight was the staff, who were always kind, helpful and attentive. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely stay here again.

The only minor inconvenience is the shower, which has no glass partition and is positioned between the sink and the toilet, making it a little impractical. That said, the bathroom itself is new, very spacious and beautifully designed.

La stanza era pulita e spaziosa. Colazione classica in base alle richieste (frutta, uova, toast, burro e marmellata).

Purtroppo sul sito e in alcune recensioni è dichiarato un ristorante e uno Sky bar, non è così. Siamo tornati apposta per cenare in hotel sulla terrazza, ma ci è stato riposto che non c’è nessun ristorante. Quando l’abbiamo fatto notare non ci è stata data nessuna spiegazione.

El hotel está bastante nuevo y limpio y la cama era cómoda.

La ubicación indicada en booking para nada es real, está como a 6 kms del centro. De la haberlo sabido no lo habríamos cogido, además está en una calle secundaria con muy poca luz y muy pocos servicios. La habitación tiene una terraza enorme pero todos los complementos están recogidos así que debes montarlo tu si quieres usarlo. El aire acondicionado no está puesto cuando llegas, así que la habitación no está fresca. El desayuno que no estaba incluido, lo contratamos aparte ya que no había nada cerca, y te lo cobran a $10 más impuestos, pero no es un buffet aunque lo tienen pero cerrado, sino que no se puede escoger nada, excepto como quieres los huevos, además para desayunar tiene la TV puesta con sonido aunque no haya nadie. Habríamos agradecido más un poco de música o silencio.
