The size and location
The driveway was very steep. Definitely need a 4x4 to get up it lol.

The cabin itself was absolutely stunning, with one of the best views of the Smoky Mountains I’ve ever experienced. Waking up to that scenery and being able to take it in throughout the stay was genuinely special. We also saw several bears during our time there, which felt like a really unique and memorable part of the trip.
There were a few issues that impacted our experience. When we arrived, the hot tub was empty and wasn’t resolved until the following morning, meaning we lost an evening with the hot tub. It then took several hours to heat up, which meant we couldn’t use it until the late afternoon. That said, once it was working, it was lovely to sit in the hot tub with that view.
Another downside was the check-out experience. We were still within our check-out time, quietly enjoying the last 15 minutes with the view, when the cleaner entered and began preparing the hot tub and bringing in cleaning equipment without acknowledging us. It felt quite intrusive and took away from what should have been a relaxed end to the stay.
Furthermore the shower at the middle floor wasn’t draining properly.
Overall, the location and views are exceptional and make this place very special, but a few improvements in maintenance and guest communication would really elevate the experience.
