Villa Forever Coorg

We were a group of friends and wanted to be able to spend time together yet have separate bedrooms so this was perfect for us. The villa is huge and cutely decorated. It’s totally away from anything and right in the middle of a plantation.

The approach way to the property- the last 200 m - is untarred and pretty dangerous during the monsoon. Maybe something can be done about it?

This is an exceptional property in the middle of nowhere in Southern Coorg. Peaceful, serene, very clean, amazing house manager, in-house cooks and everything you can imagine for a few days away in the middle of nature. Food is not included in the price (except breakfast). But Rohan shared a menu upfront with me where I had to pick out of the few meal plans for lunch/dinner, and the in-house cooks (Ramu, Padam and Radhika) were nothing short of amazing - a huge spread was prepared for us at every meal that we thoroughly enjoyed. The 3 bedrooms are large, bathrooms are clean, the swimming pool was a bit cold (we visited in December) so it did not get much use, the firepit is perfect for a winter's evening, and the villa and surrounds accomodated our group of 7 really well without any issues. Plenty of room with all the terraces, balconies, hammocks, etc. The house dog, Simba (also goes by "Bodyguard"), was incredibly playful and a total delight! Rohan, the manager, helped us with day trips (birding, visiting the local elephant camp, etc). A+ customer service, thank you!

The access road to the villa is a short 200-300m drive through a very narrow unpaved road (that is slightly rutted), it was quite difficult to get through with our 11-passenger mini-van and we had some issues. Rohan, the house manager, was very helpful in getting mechanics to come the next day and fix the damage on the vehicle, so in the end, it all worked out okay. Thank you! The bathrooms could do with some proper body wash for having a shower. We were giving miniscule amounts of body gel that we used up in a single shower. No big deal, but thought I'd point it out as possibly the only really small thing they can improve on.

Seen the pictures? That’s exactly what the villa looks like - vast, pristine and absolutely gorgeous! We were a group of five adults and four children who stayed for two nights at TVF, and the experience was fantastic. The villa isn’t just beautiful; it’s also spacious and impeccably maintained. The property manager, Rohan, was incredibly helpful - he went out of his way to get us a birthday cake for our baby and even arranged some medicines from town when we needed them. We celebrated our child’s birthday on the expansive lawn next to the pool, and everyone had a wonderful time. Special shoutout to the food - it was delicious! Even when we ordered dishes outside the set menu, the cook prepared everything fresh and right on time. The local delicacies are a must-try. The included breakfast (from a set menu) was tasty and offered a good variety. It truly felt like home-cooked food but exceeded all expectations. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for anyone traveling with a medium-sized group, especially with kids. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The last stretch of the journey to the villa - about 100 meters, is quite bumpy. If you're driving a car with low ground clearance, be prepared for a few hard bumps. Because of this, we avoided venturing out too much during our stay, just to prevent any potential damage to our cars. That said, once you're at the villa, there’s really nothing to complain about - it’s a wonderful experience from start to finish.
