Channel View – 3 Bedroom House - Rhossili Bay

An amazing location, looking across to Worm’s Head. Storm Amy hit while we were there and the waves and wind made it rather exciting. The house had all of the essentials, the kitchen and laundry appliances we used all worked well and had instruction booklets. The kitchen had plenty of crockery and utensils for cooking for a family. The basket of information in the kitchen had maps for walking and the house folder had useful suggestions for trips out. The gate made the property safe for our dog and provided adequate parking spaces. The stair gate was a really good idea and perhaps needs mentioning as we took our own and didn’t need it. The Causeway next door was a good bolt hole for a drink and lunch.

The house was really very good but there are a few things worth mentioning to give feedback to the owners. For a house sleeping up to six there was only seating in the front room for three or four at a push and could do with a second comfy chair. This was a lovely place to sit to look out at the view. There were only seats for 4 around the kitchen island bar, which also gave marvellous views whilst having breakfast. It would be useful to have an indoor broom to sweep the hard floor. The Henry vacuum cleaner gave out a musty smell when we used it and looked like it had never been cleaned. This does sound fussy but I wanted to make the house downstairs floor reasonably clean so used the vacuum. It might need to be replaced or given a good clean.

Beautiful location with good parking and generously sized rooms. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Lots of useful information supplied and books/DVDs/ games etc for wet weather. Would definitely stay again.

Bath towels were a little small.

Nice house with diverse facilities. Even we experienced several rainy days, we still had good time in the house.
