Amazing home in an authentic hillside village

This house was simply exceptional. Built into the winding rocky streets of a white village, it had everything we could have dreamed of—spacious rooms, plenty of space for us and our son, and even an extra room if the family were bigger. The biggest highlight was the huge and beautiful balcony, opening up to a bird’s-eye view of the entire village and the castle. The house felt very “3D,” with every room on a different level or floor. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything we needed—even a complimentary bottle of wine. Our host, Rober, was incredible. He met us personally, shared great restaurant recommendations, and even gave us a heads-up about siesta hours and village holidays when shops might be closed. We stayed for about a week, and the location was perfect. A lovely, not-too-crowded beach was just a 20-minute drive away, and we did day trips to Ronda, Marbella, and even Gibraltar—all very accessible. Overall, the property felt luxurious, well-kept, and thoughtfully built to be a true home, not just another Airbnb. I’ve bookmarked this place on my personal map and will be recommending it to all my friends and family. It was truly remarkable and left us with the best memories.

The only small issue was the inconsistent temperature in the shower. The handle was so sensitive that tiny movements made the water jump from very cold to very hot. Not a big deal for adults, but our son was startled a few times by the sudden changes. The streets are very narrow, so you’ll likely need to park a bit away and carry your things. The lot at the top of the hill fills up, so arriving late can mean a longer walk. Luckily, our host gave us clear parking tips—don’t try driving down to the house, we saw others attempt it and it looked stressful. But narrow streets are part of the charm here. So it's both a bad and a good thing.

A Hidden Gem with Stunning Views

My stay at the Casares apartments was wonderful! The apartment was very clean, cozy, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I really appreciated the peaceful surroundings – it was perfect both for relaxing and for short trips around the area. The views from the terrace were absolutely breathtaking! Everything matched the photos, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and attentive. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and high-quality holiday in Spain.

Las habitaciones individuales están en la planta baja de la entrada principal con muchos escalones y el baño está totalmente alejado de las habitaciones y solo había una ducha de la habitación principal y dos cuartos de baño.

Puliendo unos detalles sería la estancia perfecta

La casa muy limpia y muy bien situada, sólo había que bajar la calle para estar en la plaza principal con comercios y bares. A la casa no le faltaban detalles, pero sí falló en la parte de arriba los enchufes no iban, pero sí las luces. La terraza tiene una panorámica preciosa.

Tuvimos un problema con la cama y llamamos a la persona responsable allí pero nos dijo que llamáramos a la persona de la limpieza y finalmente lo arreglamos nosotros. La casa tiene mucho encanto pero está repartida en 4 plantas con escaleras.
