Welcome to our recently remodeled Van Ettan Lake home, a tranquil getaway designed for relaxation and unforgettable memories. With abundant natural light and breathtaking lake views, this cozy retreat is your perfect escape. Just pack your suitcase, bring your toothbrush, and let the serenity of the lake take over.
The space
Lakefront Living: Enjoy stunning views from the open living area or step out onto the expansive deck, complete with a propane griddle for outdoor dining. The patio below offers even more space to unwind, with a fire pit by the water for those cozy evening gatherings.
Comfortable Accommodations: The house comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests, with a spacious main-floor bedroom and two additional bedrooms upstairs. Each room is designed for comfort, ensuring a restful stay.
Fully Equipped: The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing your favorite meals, and the living room invites you. For outdoor enthusiasts, the property includes a private dock, perfect for launching kayaks or a paddle boat. (House has 4 kayaks and 1 paddle board for your use)
For those who can't bear to be away from their favorite shows or movies, our TVs are equipped with Roku, which allows guests to stream any service they prefer.
Winter Fun: Located close to cross-country ski and snowmobile trails, this is a year-round destination for adventure.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the little touches that made it feel like home. The beds were super comfortable, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing. Being right on the water made it even more special — the views were beautiful, and having kayaks available to use was such a great bonus. The location was perfect too — close to everything but still peaceful and private. The host Joshua was kind, responsive, and made check-in a breeze. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again!

We booked this place last minute (day before) on a Sunday and Joshua was super responsive. I think as soon as my payment was confirmed he messaged to thanks us for booking his place and let us know that he would contact us a bit later with check-in details, which he did, also with a few tips for a great stay. We were 6 all together, including our two teenagers and the place was ideal in that the kids got their own beds. The kitchen is well stocked with almost all that we needed. The only thing we missed was a mixing bowl/salad bowl. However the house is well stocked - even laundry detergent. We thoroughly enjoyed the the large deck, the grill (with propane supplied!) and the kayaks that we took out on the supremely relaxing Van Etten Lake. We were there mid-week and the vibe was quiet, peaceful and restorative, not always a given on Michigan lakes in the summer. In the evenings we all enjoyed playing on the pool table in the garage and playing games together. It was all together a great couple of days away even if the weather didn't 100% cooperate (it rained our last evening). I would whole-heartedly recommend this place to anyone that is still able to move around easily. Watching the water and hanging out on the deck was undeniably the highlight. Teenagers loved the kayaks, pool table, TVs and WiFi . The walk-in shower downstairs was also great. Thanks to Joshua for opening up this place to us.
