About this villa rental
Among the most beautiful views in the world, peace of mind and absolute silence: 210 steps to Casa Punta di Diamante make all this possible! A few steps from the famous Path of the Gods and 10 minutes from the center of Praiano, Casa Punta di Diamante is a modern, independent, fresh house with a Mediterranean charm. The three large bedrooms, the spacious living room and kitchen, the three bathrooms with shower, make the spaces comfortable for a family or for three couples. Recently and finely restored, the exterior is characterized by a large furnished garden of 200 square meters, equipped with an outdoor kitchen, swimming pool and solarium area. The two terraces exposed to the sun until sunset frame the enchanting views: the highest terrace, with a panoramic view of Capri and Positano, is the pride of the house! Wi-Fi, heating system and air conditioning are available throughout the house.
The house is not accessible by car, but this characteristic makes the experience even more special, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful atmosphere of the village and its breathtaking views.
Please note: The location is not suited for persons with walking disabilities or health problems. All the services are only accessible by descending steps, due to the typical configuration of Praiano, where many services are located lower than the house
The villa is organized on four levels:
- Large 200 m2 furnished garden with equipped outdoor kitchen, swimming pool and solarium.
- Outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, table for "al fresco" dining and outdoor sofa - accessible from the dining area;
- Sun terrace, with sea view, accessible from the master double bedroom.
- Large balcony with open view of Positano and Capri - accessible from the two bedrooms;
- Large dining area with open kitchen (fully equipped) with table for 6 people and access to the front terrace;
- Double bedroom, sea view, with access to the small balcony in front and to the sun terrace - with en-suite bathroom
- Double bedroom and single bed, with bathroom opposite
- Double bedroom, with access to the small balcony in front - with en-suite bathroom
Casa Punta di Diamante is located at the highest point of Praiano, west side, on one of the paths that lead to the Path of the Gods. To reach the house it is necessary to travel about 200 stopovers. It is not recommended for people with walking problems or for those who don't like stairs! Baggage service is offered upon arrival (one bag per person - service for all bags is possible for a fee). Baggage service can be booked, for a fee, upon departure. It is possible to park on the street, but it may not be easy to find parking in the summer. We recommend to reach us with a private driver.
The town center is not far away. A few minutes walk there are:
- Local bus stop
- Supermarket and butcher shop
- Restaurants and bars
- Start of the path of the Gods

I stayed at their vacation rental in August of this year. The home is a million dollar home with a million dollar view. The steps up are a workout, and I needed to stop for a break along the way, but I made it up even as a 350lb guy. The host makes it easier by having a porter help bring your bags upon arrival (but not when you leave - so dont pack too much). The home is amazing - and have nothing negative to say about it at all. And the area in general is amazing, with amazing views and relaxing aura.
The only negative I have is about the logistics of the area in general. Parking is scarce, and when you find a spot, you will have to trek from your spot up and down mountain roads until you get to your stair-climb up to the home. Do not rely on uberpublic transport, as when you order one it just says it may take a while, with no given time. There is a local bus though, but I wasnt there long enough to figure it out. And there is no uber eatsanyone to deliver stuff to your door.
I would highly recommend this place, just plan accordingly, and you can relax in style...

This house is amazing. If you can physically do the 200+ steps multiple times a day, then you should absolutely stay in this house. The power never failed (like many of the places we have been in Europe), the AC works great, the house is spotless and has everything you could need including beach towels. In all of our travels, Francesco is the best host we have encountered. He was always available, so helpful and thoughtful. The only downside is that the internet does not work well, and the house does not have good cell coverage. If you are planning to work, I would reach out to SMAAC ahead of time about other internet options. We would definitely stay in this house again.

I would give it 4.5 stars. but gave 5 stars.
The obvious is view, and the pool. But in general the house facilities and areas are great. Much larger groups could be hosted here (We were family of 5. 2+3). The 300 stairs are creating a very secluded experience.
Great kitchen, we cooked every day. Great places with view for large family dinners.
Great guidebook with a lot of information about everything.
We will defiantly come back!
- The freezer didn't work for the whole week and no maintenance. Which means no ice or ice creams! This was a huge downer for us.
- There are ANTs everywhere, ask your host for refilling the anti ants spray. Spend time on cleaning everything or they will come.
- WIFI had many issues due to the setup, required restart a few times a day. (modem-router + switch + 2 modems for wifi expansions) (The have high packet loss and disconnections...)
- The stairs aren't that horrible, however, the local bus doesn't stop on 23 bus-stop unless you tell it to. which means you will have to walk down ~1,100 stairs on the way down. (More information about the local-bus could be added to the great guidebook)

It was spacious and the grounds were well kept. We were not expecting to have a private pool. The views were spectacular.
