About this cabin rental

Beautiful private traditional mountain cabin, that is the perfect retreat in the NC mountains. Gorgeous designed log cabin located on 3 acres with a spacious front porch, BBQ Grill, fire pit, w/ room for 6. Living Room anchored by a stone fireplace w/ TV, vaulted wood ceilings & coziness for the whole family. Open Living, Dining, and Kitchen allows for the entire family to be together. 2 Kings, 1 Queen bedrooms all with televisions & outdoor Space with screened porch of kitchen. Peace & Quiet

I don't like writing negative reviews, but my family and I abandoned our trip after the first night. Getting there is stressful in a 2 wheel drive SUV. Very narrow, not well marked, primitive gravel road. You will spin tires ascending, which is stressful with family in the car. Advertised as having AC, but instead had very loud portable AC units, with airducts going out of cracked windows. The downstairs bedroom had the sliding glass door permanently ajar for the AC unit with a piece of wood and packing tape that I think was supposed to close the gap, but had fallen out of place. All these gapped windows is probably why we saw 3 giant Carolina wolf spiders roaming the main floor. (I only killed one, they are fast). With the constant AC noise, bugs, and lack of cleanliness, this cabin is neither relaxing or cozy. The surrounding areas of NC are absolutely gorgeous and were the saving grace of the trip. Maybe this place is better in winter with a fire and closed windows, but we would never stay here again.
