Belle's on Ballow - Kookaburra Lodge - Absolute Waterfront

We have stayed at the main lodge a few years ago with friends and we loved it. Have always talked about going back so we booked the Kookaburra lodge. The location is 10/10 with waterfront views and a jetty to fish off - there is a shared BBQ and small kitchen with tables and undercover seating, firepits to enjoy and a pool. We loved being able to see wobbeygongs, dolphins and so many fish. The location itself is within walking distance to the best coffee shop Bo Beans, Amity Pavillion, a convenience store and beach access for 4WD. The host had great communication and sent through all needed Information in a timely manner.

The Kookaburra Lodge is quite small but perfect if its 2 adults 2 kids, probably wouldn't recommend if sharing with 4 adults. We found the shower to leak water under it at times which used up our towels, lucky we took our own towels. There was only one sharp knife on offer which was inconvenient when eating but we managed. Belles on Ballows has a main lodge and a few smaller cabins which means a lot of the time the outdoor area is a shared space with others, we didnt mind this at all however some people might. Just very minor inconveniences, but we are already planning to go back!!

Fantastic spot, great place for fishing or reading a book, relaxing family holiday - we even had nightly visits from dolphins! Super pet friendly as well.

Absolutely fantastic, genuinely dont have a negative thing to say about it

Nothing

Location, grounds, good TV/internet, nice beds & linen/towels

A lot of small things: the cabin was not so clean (mold in shower, many ants, dirty in corners and walls etc) needed a deep clean, no hooks to hang cloths, no luggage racks, no implements for dish washing (we bought a brush, Vileda cloths & some detergent from store; sachets & chux are silly). Needs more general maintenance/upkeep, it's getting old. Small for 5 people, only 2 can watch TV. PLEASE adjust the hot water temp, it's dangerously hot !
