Beautiful traditional-looking apartment. Great location.

It was a charming apartment that worked well for our family! My kids especially loved the bathtub situation. It was walking distance to lots of great locations. And although not expected, it was super nice to have laundry on site with complimentary detergent. That was a bonus that we found very helpful.

Because it's the bottom level, in a humid environment, it did smell slightly musty. It's to be expected in places like this, but we tried to keep the doors and windows open a crack because it could be distracting at times.

Room was great, but keep in mind the shower is in the onsen. Dinner is the best part of staying here - don't skip that. Breakfast is the second best part- don't leave too early.

Onsen was okay - the division between male and female made onsen access difficult.

I liked that the property has a nice outdoor bath and a very spacious shower room. It was also convenient that they provide a washer and dryer on-site, along with laundry detergent. The location itself is very good.

I booked this place because I wanted to experience a ryokan and was willing to pay more for that, but I was disappointed. We stayed in room number 1 on the ground floor, and from the moment we entered, there was an odd, damp smell. The room was very noisy—you could hear everything from above and from outside. There is a designated luggage storage area right next to the room, and I was woken up early in the morning twice (around 6-7 AM) by the sound of chains from people securing their luggage. The lighting was very poor in most rooms, and the common area was quite dusty. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality offered.
