Casa Amoreira

Uitgebreide uitrusting van het appartement. Zowel een wasmachine, vaatwasser, magnetron als aparte elektrische oven maken dat je alles tot je beschikking hebt. De keuken heeft zelfs een staafmixer waar we dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt om zelf soep te maken. De airconditioning werkt prima, alhoewel er slechts één unit is voor het hele appartement.

Ik vind de indeling van het appartement wat onpraktisch. Er is een dakterrasje, maar dat hebben we niet gebruikt. Slapen in een vide met een steile trap ging met onze kinderen prima, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat het voor (oudere) volwassenen niet prettig is. Verder is het parkeren in de kelder eronder erg krap bemeten. Met onze gehuurde SUV hebben we er dan ook geen gebruik van gemaakt. In de directe omgeving is voldoende plek om op straat te parkeren.

What did you like? Casa Amoreira is a spacious, fully equipped townhouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and everything needed for self-catering. The house was spotless, and Bruno was very friendly, responsive, and even offered additional items if we needed anything. The layout worked very well for us, with a large main bedroom, a bathroom at the other end of the house next to the open-plan kitchen and living area, and a second bedroom with two single beds accessed by a wooden staircase (which we didn’t use). As a nice welcome touch, we found a complimentary bottle of local wine and a carafe of water waiting for us. The location is excellent, with both Bordeira Beach and the village of Carrapateira just a short distance away.

It would be nice if basic cooking essentials like olive oil, vinegar, and salt were provided. The frying pans were a little worn, and it wasn’t clear whether the water in the carafe was tap or filtered.

Great property. Good location, short walk into down town. Has a washing machine and detergent! Full kitchen.

Only suggestion, as an American I find the European washing machines confusing. Perhaps a note sheet in English with simple step by step instructions and pictures for doing a normal load of laundry.
