Levada da Breca - Turismo Rural

Very unique place; very simple but tasteful renovation of a small granite house; it’s for those who expect character but not luxury.

Some parts of the property seem unfinished or just left there.

We loved our stay at Levada da Breca. It was remote and peaceful. The host met us there and was most welcoming, giving us a great tour of the property.

We knew in advance that reaching the property would involve some walking (because the driveway is very narrow). We were prepared to park in the Levada Village Parking lot and walk in--however, we couldn't identify where the parking lot was and we drove too far down the driveway, requiring a tricky backing out situation. A sign indicating the location of the Village Parking lot would have been helpful. We only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed it. Given the remote location, we wished that we had thought to bring dinner with us for the evening.

Super confortável e tranquilo.

The property was an absolute dream! If you are into nature and love disconnecting from the rest of the world, even if just for a little bit, then this is definitely the place to be! Tiago, the host, sent us all the instructions we needed to reach the little village and called to make sure we knew where to park and where to get the keys, and he was always available for any questions we might have had. As soon as we arrived, the house was heated, and the lights were on, making it so welcoming and cosy. There was even a little basket with goodies: bread, butter, milk, wine, cheese and delicious honey! The surrounding area was stunning, and even with all the rain and stormy weather, we felt so warm and HOME! There are so many hiking trails to explore in Gerês, and the food is divine! Definitely take a car! This little cottage apartment is a countryside dream!
