Gatwick Lodge

This isn't just value for money, it's a beautiful little place to stay with lovely little touches. Me and my partner missed our flight and had to stay near Gatwick for our second flight. I explained this to the lady and our room was ready by lunchtime for us to go and have a sleep ready for the next day.

Could not fault the place at all.

Brilliant facilities couldn’t fault also had parking

Nothing! Every single thing was excellent

Location was great with parking nearby. Communication was by unexpected app and not so clear for a very tired traveller late at night, but the poor hosts were very obliging.

Pillows.

The room was a good size. It is really close to Gatwick Airport with off road parking. The kitchen allowed us to eat in. Cristina was responsive and entry via the lock box worked well. Having fresh milk and breakfast cereal as well as tea & coffee was a bonus. The room is in a garage conversion but you honestly wouldn’t know when inside. There is reverse cycle air conditioning which we didn’t need but would be a bonus in the changing environment. The washing machine was fab but there are no drying facilities.

The pillows were a bit low for our preferences. Maybe adding a second pillow of medium height would be beneficial. There was a slight smell in the bathroom as though there was a drainage ventilation issue but it was not overpowering. The bathroom itself self was pristine otherwise.
