It’s a great place if you wish to experience living in the countryside of Japan and to interact with friendly local Japanese. Got to be able to live with the fact that insects are a part of village life. Another saving grace is that you get to see a starry sky blinking with stars at night cos it’s pitch dark (if it’s not cloudy)
The backyard where the washer and dryer are, is outside of the house which means the exterior of the machines are dusty and not as clean as one would like. Dryer was filled with sand so can’t be used. And you must drive to stay here. Shops and eateries are far and it’s a lot of uphills and downhills walking. Scuba diving is not available in raining season aka June.
