L'Eresta

There were 9 of us, 6 adults, 1 teenager and 2 kids. There was plenty of space for everyone. Great sized pool, with loungers for everyone. The area not under the shelter are a suntrap and you can lie out until late. Bedrooms were spacious, with 3 en suite and beds were clean and comfortable..towels were provided for all guests. Poolside fridge to keep drinks and snacks cool is a nice touch. Large private tennis court and billiards (pool) table provided alternatives to the pool. Various large supermarkets are 10 to 15 mins away. Port de Pollenca is only 5 mins drive away with great restaurants, boutiques and souvenir shops. The old town is only 10 to 20 mins away...in summary the location is peaceful and excellent. We had water issues on the last day, and the Homerti team were easily reached and responsive when contacted.

Access to the pool is via steps at the side of the pool and there is a big drop from the last step, you are not entering in the shallower part of the pool. If not a confident swimmer this could take you by surprise. The Kitchen is very well equipped, but there are no oven gloves provided which I was surprised by as it seemed like something obvious which should be there to safely remove trays etc from the hot oven. Similar for the BBQ. All the utensils needed are provided but no gloves to move the racks themselves when they are hot. The ants are not something Homerti can control (unless there is a way to chemically address them), they appear with speed and in large numbers whenever food is around. Even the smallest crumb can have them appear in the sink or counters in the kitchen so you need to clear away fast and keep everything sprayed down. They will climb over packages in the food press so use tupperware to seal open items or clean down packages before you open them. Anything stored in the fridge was ok as they wont go in there. The water going on the last day wasn't fully resolved which was annoying. We reported it in the morning and someone quickly arrived. They appeared to have addressed it, but having been out for the day and coming back, we discovered there was again no water. Another call, someone came out and after a while, water looked to be back. When we got up early this morning to get ready for our flight and to check out, the water was gone again. Had this happened throughout the week it would have caused many problems. Being in a warm climate, without the ability to shower, clean dishes (and end up with an ant infestation) and flush toilets would have ruined the trip.
