Welcome to Historic Harmar House, a charming Victorian home that blends timeless elegance with modern comfort. This beautifully preserved property features 2 inviting bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, along with a spacious kitchen, a separate dining room, and a cozy living room. The third floor offers a versatile flex room, perfect as an additional bedroom or a quiet home office. The second floor houses both bedrooms, a full bathroom, and the convenience of an in-home washer and dryer.

Outside, you'll find a large fenced-in backyard, ideal for enjoying the outdoors, gathering around a fire pit, or letting your pups get some fresh air. The home’s prime location is within walking distance of the charming shops and restaurants in downtown Harmar, and just a short drive—or a leisurely 10-minute walk—to the vibrant downtown Marietta. The house is interesting from a historical perspective. We enjoyed the Victorian furnishings. The bed was comfortable. The host was responsive. The nearby restaurants were excellent, and the views of the rivers were great.On the negative side, there was black mold in the upstairs bathroom near the shower; the iron and board was missing; parts of the front porch were filthy and there were signs of termites.

Beautiful historic home close to marrietta. Shower is nice and hot. You might want to bring your own blankets as there arent extras, except whats on the bed.

The house served our visit purposes well. Owner had very good prompt communications. Enjoyed our stay. Only surprise is the road in front of house is busy with traffic including some noise and only has street parking but was manageable.

Shower was too hard and drain backed up every time, hair leaves and mud (we hope) mixing with our shower water into a debris filled mucky stew. Disgusting. We worked on the drain all afternoon the second day finally fixing it. Many lights burned out including the main stairs making them treacherous in the dark.

Check in was very easy, kitchen was well equipped and clean, WiFi was easy to access and we had no problems finding the property. It was also well stocked with all necessary items like towels, cleaning supplies, sheets, etc. It is a very old house in the victorian style with original wood floors and decorated in the style of that period. The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star, in our opinion, is that the yard was in serious need of attention. The charming front porch was overrun with weeds and webs, which we swept down, but the yard needed mowed and the weeks that grow around the porch would take more work than we were willing to do in the heat and on vacation. The owner was very accommodating and friendly.
