About this house rental
Pottergate Rest is a warm and charming home, perfect for couples, friends, families, and visitors looking to explore everything Norwich has to offer.
Tucked away in the historic city centre, this charming three-storey property offers a comfortable base for short breaks or longer stays.
We are a family-run corporate letting and serviced accommodation business that prides itself on offering the guest everything they need for an enjoyable stay whether it be for business or for pleasure.
We are very experienced and professional, and the level of interaction is decided by you.
Any questions you may have, we pride ourselves on coming back to you within a short time :)
As super hosts, we are available as you need us, we love answering questions and providing recommendations and we have a brilliant house manual for those who prefer to explore for themselves.
The nearest paid car park is Pottergate Car Park and all guests have access to the entire house, amenities and all property is only for you.
You have a self-check-in to make sure you can schedule your time according to your own plans. All important details will also be shared with you before your arrival to ensure a smooth check-in.

On the first floor, the living area invites you to unwind with a comfy sofa, two snug chairs, and a Smart TV – ideal for chilled evenings in. Just off the living space is a bright, fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, and all the cookware and tableware you’ll need. A dining table in the kitchen seats four – perfect for easy meals after a day out.
Upstairs, on the second floor, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms, each with a cosy double bed, soft linen, bedside lighting, and space to unpack. One of the bedrooms also includes a small desk with a screen – great for checking emails or planning your next day out.
The bathroom includes a bath with shower over, complimentary toiletries, soft towels, a mirror, and a hairdryer.
Please note the property has its own private entrance and is accessed via one flight of stairs leading up to the first floor, where the kitchen and living area are located.
As the building retains its original period features and is in a central location, the stairs are slightly steeper than modern standards. A handrail is provided for support.
If you have any mobility concerns, please feel free to reach out before booking.
Check-in & Access:
You’ll receive an email with your key box code and full check-in instructions before arrival. If you have any questions, we’re just a call away.
House Rules:
- No smoking indoors (use outdoor areas & ashtrays provided).
- No pets.
- Please respect the property and leave it as you found it.
- Quiet hours: 9 pm – 8 am (weekdays), 11 pm – 8 am (weekends).
Damages:
We understand accidents happen! Let us know if anything breaks so we can replace it for the next guests. We won’t charge for minor breakages like crockery.
Terms of Stay:
A digitally signed agreement is required for bookings (sent via email) and we ask for ID to be provided.
Extras:
- Travel cot & high chair available for £30 (request 24 hours before check-in).
- UK bed sizes apply.

Excellent place to stay - clean and stylish rooms in the historic charming building. It was SO conveniently located to step out and we are in the heart of city centre. We arrived late in the evening in pouring rains. We could not locate the entrance due to poor visibility even with the instruction provided to us. Staff promptly responded and helped us.

Very tastefully decorated. Great stove in the kitchen and lovely location. Two amazingly good coffee shops just outside the front door and some great restaurants just past the church. Great location, great property.
