Hidden away in a private valley, surrounded entirely by rolling fields in an AONB, this dreamy cottage combines pretty, contemporary interiors and a beautifully planted garden in which to relax and unwind. Offering unrivalled peace and quiet in an idyllic rural setting, breathtaking views abound, and if you're seeking a genuine opportunity to be immersed in nature, then Foxearth offers a calm oasis of comfort and tranquillity in a truly magical setting.
On arrival at the cottage, French doors lead directly into the bright, open-plan kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and air-fryer. The dining area with a sofa, table, and chairs looks outside onto the pretty garden terrace, a perfect spot for al fresco dining, together with ‘The Potting Shed' with its comfortable vintage daybed. Here you can doze and relax, listening to bees and birdsong by day and by night, enjoy stargazing in this dreamy, designated Dorset's Dark Skies area. Off the hallway, a spacious shower room/cloakroom is conveniently situated. In the cosy sitting room, you'll find comfortable sofas and charming period details with a characterful inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, offering warmth and comfort and the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
Upstairs, the landing leads to two enchanting bedrooms and a beautifully decorated bathroom with a shower. Very well furnished and laid out property. Definitely will appeal to someone to get away from it all even a strong phone signal and the gps can't even find the street! But peace and quiet with the lovely aroma of the gardens with fresh cut flowers in every room made it all worth the drive. The only noise you will hear are the sheep and cows in the fields and the very rare passing of a tractor or one of the neighbors in their car. We absolutely loved sitting on the patio and enjoying our coffee or snack and watching the bees work their way across all the flowers. Would definitely consider a return visit to continue our exploration of this side of England.
