Beautiful beachfront Studio, Zantamar 306

Modern new condo. Host left us a bottle of water and 2 small packets of peanuts which were much appreciated as we arrived late in the evening and hadn't had supper. Excellent water pressure. The bus stop/minivan stop for Bucerias/ Puerto Vallarta and Punta Mita is a 5 minute walk up the road. Appreciated the washer/dryer combo but cycle was a bit long.

Despite booking for 5 people, there were only 2 beach chairs and 4 beach towels in the condo. The beach is rocky and you must walk 10 minutes to the right to get to a better beach- 'La Manzanilla.' No basic condiments for cooking like salt, sugar, oil. No washing machine soap provided. These are necessities that should be provided considering we paid $300 per night. One of the main attractions of this accommodation is a rooftop pool. IT WAS CLOSED and we were later told the owners of the building had decided to make it 'private.' The listing needs to be updated as it is NOT accurate. The picture of the pool is misleading. It is NOT in the front of the building but between the building and concrete fence. VERY LITTLE VIEW of the ocean from the pool. The bed was very hard and I had a sore lower back from it the first night. My husband suggested a pillow under my knees and that worked. (I have a firm mattress at home and was surprised to get a sore back at the condo.) I wish there was lighting on the street going to the centre of town. First stretch is a bit scary/sketchy. Two of us got bad head colds from the air conditioner on day 2. The air conditioner is too close to the beds. The pool/beach issues are significant if you stay here all day but we spent our days at big resorts near Punta Mita.
