Shinestar Villa Mirissa

We had a really comfortable stay here! The place was very clean, and the rooms had great air conditioning, which was much appreciated. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the beach and Secret Beach (thanks to the caretaker for the recommendation!). There were also plenty of tuk-tuks nearby, making it easy to get around. Sameera was incredibly helpful in organising taxis for longer journeys, which made everything much easier. We also really appreciated having access to a washing machine. Overall, a lovely, comfortable stay in a great location. Would definitely recommend!

The peacocks though beautiful are very noisy in the morning - bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to the noise :)

We had a wonderful stay at Shinestar Villa Mirissa and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The villa is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. One of the highlights of our trip was the whale watching experience, which was absolutely unforgettable. The location of the villa made it very convenient to access these excursions. A special mention goes to the caretaker, Deepal, who was extremely kind, helpful, and supportive throughout our stay and that we were well taken care of. Overall, the villa offers excellent value for money, combining comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.

Comfortable and affordable; good rooms with air conditioning; Well ventilated house and airy verandah in the front; Close to public transport and easy for PickMe & Uber taxis; close to shops for eating as well as groceries; very safe area; friendly staff and neighbours; good facilities

People who give unjustified reviews; Tourists not appreciating the culture of the land and its people;
