Large house, very functional; large bedrooms and very comfortable beds; six showers; good and bright lounge; massive dining table for 12 people (both inside and outside); well-equipped and modern kitchen; sauna; 5-person jacuzzi, massive linden tree providing good shading in the afternoons; nice views and quiet location.

I recommend putting mosquito netting at the windows, so they can be kept open in the hot season.

Prachtig en ruim huis dat echt geschikt is voor een groep van twaalf. De keuken is volledig uitgerust en de stoomsauna en de bioscoopzaal zijn een echte meerwaarde. Alles was netjes schoon bij aankomst en de eigenaar reageert snel op berichten. Fijne ligging, op loopafstand van Han-sur-Lesse en de grotten.

Er is geen airco en er zijn geen horren. Bij dertig graden liep het binnen flink op, en met de ramen open kwamen de muggen ’s nachts massaal binnen. Dat heeft ons slaapcomfort behoorlijk beperkt. Handdoeken zijn niet inbegrepen, ook niet als je het beddengoedpakket van 100 euro afneemt. Bij een huis met een sauna verwacht je dat op zijn minst als optie. De omgeving is bijzonder geluidsgevoelig. De buren horen veel en laten snel weten dat ze last hebben. Voor een gîte die op twaalf personen is ingericht is dat goed om vooraf te weten.

Beautiful property both inside and out, modern yet warm and inviting. All the facilities you need for a larger group, nice touch with the auto ice making fridge during the hot weather. Outside we enjoyed the large patio with plenty of shade under large tree. The garden overlooks open fields, and even has a hot tub with views across open countryside. Kelly the host is amazing, super helpful, we had a power cut while there, the power came back on but the hotwater needed resetting. Within 15mins Kelly had someone onsite. We could walk into the local village in under 10 mins, few restaurants there that we enjoyed. Rochefort is a 10min drive or taxi and had great restaurants to choose from.

Nothing, I’m really fussy and this place felt home from home.
