Apartment Snowball, Modern, cosy, Matterhorn views

The property was clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The windows open all the way by moving the handle 90 degrees or tilt in by moving handle 180 degrees. The fresh, cool Alpine air in late May/early June was amazing. This was my first time in Europe, and I often dread when an accommodation in the US says no shoes because inevitably your feet or socks get dirty (not my house because I’m a clean freak), but in Europe all over and in this property, the floor was very clean and I felt very comfortable shoeless in the property. There are two bedrooms with comfortable beds. My husband and I shared a room and bed and our two children shared the other room and bed. We usually try to get them separate beds but Zermatt is expensive and accommodations with 3 beds were more than I wanted to spend or did not look nice in the pictures. This place seemed to work well for them though because even though it’s one bed frame, it’s two separate single mattresses with their own bedding. There is a coat rack and shoe rack. The bedrooms had closets with room for bag storage. You can see the Matterhorn from one bedroom and the property’s balcony. The bathroom was very nice with great water pressure. There is a medicine cabinet that is clean to store toiletries while there. There is a washer and dryer which was important for us since we came from the US for 11 days in Europe with just backpacks. They even had a basket which was helpful. We stayed in seven places on our trek across Europe and this was the most comfortable. We accessed everything by foot. The village is beautiful and easy to navigate. We walked to Glacier Paradise Gondola (20 minute walk) hiked the Furi suspension bridge trail, and took the Gornergrat railroad. It was a busy, fun-filled day. We bought some from fruit, bread, and milk for breakfast and the property had what we needed to wash fruit, toast bread, and sit and enjoy our breakfast.

The only thing I would recommend to the property owner is keeping a 4 lighter blankets in the cabinets because the feather blankets are heavy and a little warm for summer months. Not a big deal at all though. The place is absolutely lovely and unbelievably clean and comfortable with every amenity in it being great!
