Keel Cottage

The location is perfect, you’re right on excellent trails. The cottage is peaceful and cozy. It has everything you need even a washing machine for your clothes

What you can’t see in the pictures is the fact that it’s attached to a complex that includes another attached accommodation so it’s not as private as it appears to be. The terrace doesn’t have any cover so if it’s raining or hot it’s not usable. Booking says checkout is 10am but there’s a document probably covid era that says 930am. The cleaner showed up at 920am as we were trying to get everything in order after a week-long stay. I personally think 10am is too early but ok, except it’s clear they really want you out much earlier and you need to strip beds clean dishes etc. so a bit stressful.

The location is awesome. Very quiet in a lovely part of the dales within easy driving distance of many attractions and walks. I brought a telescope and the viewing was great with the place being practically free from light pollution. The facilities provided everything we needed. Although we did a lot of walking, I would seriously consider this as a place to just chill in the quiet of the countryside.

The only issue we had was the upstairs shower not working properly but the downstairs one was just fine.
