Caloura Suite

Caloura Suite is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The house is simultaneously both incredibly comfortable and stylish. The gardens and pool are extensive and gorgeous. The most amazing aspect of our stay were the incredibly helpful hosts. Gonçalo and Joana met us when we arrive (2 hours late after waiting for a checked bag that turned up 4 days later), showed us around the house, yard, bamboo grove, and gardens. They went above and beyond to advise and help us. I would have happily stayed on beyond our 5 nights and will certainly return to Caloura Suite on future trips.

This place is perfect!

Die Unterkunft war komplett ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt, von Waschmaschine bis hin zum Toaster. Zudem war alles sehr sauber und sehr stillvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt! Beide Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de host! Zeer vriendelijk, attent en behulpzaam. Een heerlijke welkomsmand met lekkere streekproducten stond voor ons klaar! We konden altijd mailen of appen en we werden goed geholpen met tips en routes! Absoluut een aanrader!

Niks, echt niks

The best place I have stayed in 20 years of travel. Tasteful and very well thought-out house. Everything is provided and thought of for travellers. Everything in the house is chosen with care instead of maximizing owner's profit. It all shows and is appreciated. The grounds are huge and beautiful. The location of Caloura is ideal for exploring the whole island of Sao Miguel due to its central location that is still extremely quiet and tranquil compared to the rather ugly city of Ponta Delgada and the overly-touristy souvenir shop town of Furnas. I had he best sleep of my life in this place because it is so quiet and the mattress so good. On top of it all, the host couple are very friendly and genuine. I definitely hope to be back. Thank you!
