The area is a little isolated Noise from planes is an issue.

Located at the top of two flights of stairs, so not good for anyone with knee issues! It's close to the pool. Clean and neat. My parents owned a time share at Fairways for many years, so it's very familiar. It's friendly, very pretty, lovely pool, great food at the pool bar. There are a couple of bars and restaurants on sight. There is a supermarket a walk up the road that covers most of what you might need. It's easy to walk along the coast on the new boardwalk, to the south on the coastal path you can find a sea pool to swim in. You can (allowing about 40 mins) walk to Los Abrigos for the seafood restaurants, and before that as San Blas, you can find other eateries and bars.

Modern gadgets (air con, kettle, cooker, tv) which for me were not logical to operate. I couldn't initially work the ceiling fans or the cooker or the kettle. The cooker I worked out after looking up on the internet. The company had to come over to explain the fan, air con (one out of four switches on the wall related to the ceiling fan, and illogically had to be up rather than down, and you then had to use the remote.. There was also a specific remote to room. The company agreed to leave instructions for the next visitors. Initially they were not as helpful as they could have been (should have sent someone round immediately, as in 29 degrees heat you need the aircon and really don't want to be faffing around!) Instead they said no one was available and could I send videos. Really, when you are on holiday, you shouldn't be the one to do all the work to just use basic facilities, there should be instructions in the welcome booklet for each appliance. However, after I got a little annoyed (couldn't get kettle to work either!) they sent someone around with a kettle (The original one was broken) and the lady couldn't have been nicer explaining how to use the remotes (not logical really!). The apartment is very clinical and not so cosy. I expect because they don't expect people to stay in. A few more cushions, the odd plant and piece of artwork might make it more inviting, but it was comfortable. The terrace could do with a few plants and evening lights. Much appreciated that the TV had Netflix and Prime as I doubt I would have been able to find live channels. Sadly there is building work going on nearby, so all day the sound of machinery chipping at rock or moving heavy goods (But you can't hear it from the pool :-) ), and during my stay there was a party at an apartment across the golf fairway with a woman screeching in to a microphone for hours which was very irritating!!
