We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Blanco staying in this charming home. The house is furnished with beautiful antiques, decor, and appliances that are period appropriate for this vintage cottage. The host provided snacks, breakfast items, and even treats for our dog for our visit. It was an unexpected treat! The home is close to everything in town and a short 15-minute drive to Johnson City and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This place is great. I'm glad that it was saved from demolition. Came for birthday trip. Enjoyed everything about the property. The story about the property is a great short read. Sat out under the tree on the back patio. Sat on the front porch in the cool mornings. Will come back.

“Ethyl’s Place” was even more charming than advertised. Just less than a mile from the heart of downtown Blanco, it sat perched full of character and full of history. There is an awesome back-story of the restoration process of the house that the Homeowner shares and invites you to be a part of.“Ethy’s Place” was intimate, cozy and the perfect place to lay low with loved ones for a few days. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this place!! The owner has done an amazing job making this completely adorable house your home away from home. We came for our anniversary and the second we stepped foot inside we were impressed. Rustic, well cared for, clean as a whistle, has everything you need, and has all the little touches that make a rental special. From old light switches to decor that add character. Forget a basic hotel room, rent this place. It was very easy to find, central Blanco. We used it as a jumping off point to Fredericksburg and surrounding area with incredible value for your budget and had that extra X factor making it a special stay. Many thanks to the owner! VRBO never disappoints :)

Oh my goodness! What a charming property. I had mentioned to host when booking we would be there for a fiddle performance and contest at the 10th Annual Festival of Texas Fiddlng. Deb left a stocking filled with treats for my little performer with a note wishing her well. The cottage was clean and decorated for Christmas. My children loved the tree and oorch decor.
