Kurzer aber steiler Weg zur Hütte, nichts für Leute mit Gehbehinderungen. Reisetipps: Wer Ausflüge zur Küste oder in grössere Städte machen möchte muss in Kauf nehmen das das Hüttengebiet quasi in einer Sackgasse liegt. Zur nächsten Verbindungsstrassesind es gute 23 Kilometer. Dort ist auch ein etwas größerer Kaufmann.

Ein sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattetes Haus mit einem sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Umgebung und den Skilift. Wäscheleine und Klammern sollte man dabei haben, da ein Wäscheständer/Klammern fehlte – evtl. auch weil keine Waschmaschine vorhanden ist. Ansonsten ist es sehr schön dort. Reisetipps: Tagesausflüge nach Mandel oder Lyngdal sind empfehlenswert, dort sind auch gute Bademöglichkeiten (Sandstrand) vorhanden. Schöner Wasserfall hinter Kyrkjebygda. TrollAktiv in Evje ist sehr empfehlenswert, Rafting, Biken oder Klettern sowie ab dort in Richtung Bygland (Elchpark mit schönem Rundweg auf den Berg/Höhle zum hochwandern kurz vor Byglandsfjord ). Das Wetter ist sehr wechselhaft, immer auf alles vorbereitet sein und immer Wanderschuhe dabei haben. Landschaftlich echt super.
