Cozy apartment with terrace in Ostend- NEW

Een fantastische week gehad in dit appartement. Het ligt in een gloednieuw en goed onderhouden complex. Hoewel het appartement aan de achterkant ligt hebt je vanop het terras om het hoekje zicht op zee en er is een tussendeur via de binnentuin die uitgeeft op de zeedijk. Het appartement is nieuw, ruim en mooi ingericht. Er was een eetstoel/verzorgingskussen en babybedje beschikbaar en zelfs wat spelletjes in de kast. Huswell kan je telefonisch bereiken, wel enkel in het Engels maar ik vond hen erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Mariakerke is rustig en vlakbij de dijk van Oostende. Er ligt een beachbar en speeltuintje vlak voor het appartement op het strand.

Er staat op booking dat er airco is, volgens mij was het enkel ventilatie. Maar we hebben niet lang gezocht: het appartement heeft grote ramen met vliegenramen in dus je krijgt het met de zeewind snel afgekoeld.

Good location, only 3 tram stops from the centre of Ostend. A beach and playground on the sand within walking distance. Very spacious and clean apartment (apart from the windows). Toiletries provided. Mosquito netting on the windows.

This property is advertised as having a baby cot, which is why we chose it. However, not only did we have to set up the cot ourselves, which we didn't expect to have to do, but no bedsheets were provided for it, despite the cot mattress being stained. There were no spare bedsheets anywhere on the property. We contacted customer support twice about this on the day of check-in and were assured that they were working on it but we heard nothing more for the rest of our stay. We had to modify our sleeping arrangements at great inconvenience to make sure our baby was safe. The door between the living room and the hallway is made entirely of glass, without any markings. Both our toddler and myself walked into it on separate occasions when it was closed. This is quite dangerous - some stickers or markings on the door would avoid this situation. The apartment is on a noisy road. The apartment windows needed a good clean.
