Brown House Hotel - Taipei Main Station

The location is convenient, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rates are reasonable.

The room is too small, and there is an unpleasant odor.

Excellent location right across the street from the Taipei main station. Convenient taxi stand just outside the Asia Plaza Tower building - the Brown House Hotel is on the 26th floor of this building. It is right next to the Mitsukoshi department store that has a good food court in the basement and the second floor of the Taipei train station has lots of restaurant options. There is a Family Mart convenience store next to the entrance of the Asia Plaza Tower building. And, taking the MRT from the airport to the Taipei Main Station is very easy.

If I had to find something I didn’t like it would be that the check-in time of 3 PM is strictly observed. If you have a very early morning arrival, I would recommend booking an extra night on the front end so that your room will be available for early check-in. Otherwise, the Brown House Hotel is an excellent choice for its convenient location, super helpful staff, and really comfortable beds.

We stayed at Brown House Hotel with my wife and our adult daughter for our final night in Taiwan before flying home the next day. We shared the same spacious room, which was very comfortable for the three of us. The hotel was clean and extremely convenient, being just a short distance from Taipei Main Station, making it an ideal choice for catching the Airport MRT the following morning. There was plenty of street food downstairs, which was great for grabbing a quick meal. We also appreciated the common area with a fridge and space to prepare a snack or drink. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. It would be a great base for a few days if you were exploring Taipei, especially if you are travelling through Taipei Main Station.
