The property was as described. It was very quiet and the grounds next to it were absolutely beautiful with so many birds. The location was convenient ... just minutes from the heart of La Fortuna and the property had all of the basic accomodations we needed for our stay.

The hot tub water was at 68 degrees and took several hours to get up to usable. It was not a problem once we figured that out, but we could not use it the first night as a result. The roads in and out were pretty rough. This is not a complaint about the property, just good information for guests to have before they arrive. There was also nowhere to hang clothes or put them up while we were there. It was not a problem for us as we just worked out of our suitcases, but again, important for some to know before they arrive. The kitchen has some basic supplies (pots, pans, spoons, etc.), but I would wait and evaluate what they have before you purchase any food to prepare.

We didn’t end up staying. First impression of property and response from host did not create a level of comfortableness that we were ok with so we left within a half hour and found a different rental.

“Hot tub” was cold and dirty. House was musty and dark. Area didn’t feel overly safe and nice. Outdoor seating which is a major reason for renting did not have comfortable seating and it was just going to be hot with little sign of breezes in this part of town. We questioned the attentive support from owner we usually get from other rentals. It just didn’t give us that feel good feeling we needed to stay 3 nights. We have never left a rental before and we’re not happy to go spend another 550 bucks but we are very glad we did.
