Constantia on the Canal du Midi

Lovely big pool and large open plan loving area. Free parking right outside the door and the area felt very safe and quiet. Across the road is a lovely bar and 1 min walk to more bars and eateries. Very large and comfy beds and sofa in the lounge After the thunderstorm the pool was very dirty the next day and when we asked if it could be cleaned it was done straight away for us

No air conditioning so could do with some fans being added as the ceiling fans were not powerful at all. Main areas were clean, but drawers and cupboards had not been cleaned or cleared out for a long time and even the pile of tourist leaflets were very dusty. On opening the windows and doors cobwebs and dust and dead plants ended up coming into the gite as these hadn't been cleaned or wiped down. Whilst the pool is lovely, the garden area was overgrown, unkept and seemed run down sadly. A few flowers and garden maintenance would make a lot of difference to the area. It seemed to be an old building and felt very rustic and we wouldn't expect it to be spotless, but other visitors may not accept this level of cleanliness.
