The room was spacious enough for the King bed and pull out sofa. Located in a quiet area of the hotel. Clean and well maintained.

While the hotel facilities are available, this is at a cost - this includes the pool. Getting in and out of the estate requires a code - which means you need to get this from the host. Tammy was quick and helpful with these.

I liked that you could use the facilities of the hotel, yet not be part of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Location was excellent. The ground floor patio was quite private and I loved sitting out there.

The bathroom door could not really close properly. It would have been nice if a couple of coffee pods were included for use of the coffee machine. Also, I had to request access codes when we tried to enter the estate on day two. I think this could be given up front so you don't hold up people trying to get in as well. However, the property agent was always available, which made the process quick.

The estate is beautiful, restaurants are easily accessible. The host was super friendly and helpful

An information pamphlet with the restaurants open and closed times would be nice. Coming from Johannesburg, we are not at all familiar with the area or the hotel. It was our 1st time here, we didn't even know we had access to the beach club or of we could eat there

We liked the fact that the room formed part of the Capital Zimbali, and one could use the well-maintained hotel facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food across the various on-site restaurants. Staff was friendly

Host communication poor. Host communicated that the Access Code for both Zimbali Gate & Zimbali accommodation will be shared before arrival as I indicated in advance our flight times. Sadly, that was not the case. For almost an hour after arrival, we tried getting hold of the host for access to the property. No response after multiple attempts. It was nighttime and very daunting. Understandable so, security could not let us in without access codes. Eventually after another attempt, the host killed my call and spammed us with numerous access codes. She is yet to phone or apologise for the lack of care. The host direction was also incorrect and stated North entrance. Entrance was in the South; we had to pay our Uber additional fees to take us from the northern gate to the southern gate and had to drop us off on the opposite side, as we made use of her directions on the Uber app that was incorrect. Wi-Fi was not working for the duration of our 3 day/3 night's stay. The "so-called" technician that was going to fix the Wi-Fi is still to fix it. Access codes or wrist bands are needed to access the beach. We are still waiting for the host to arrange. For the complete duration of our stay we could not walk to the beach as security measures are in place, no access allowed without either of these options. Keeping visitors and tourists safe. Our porch and chairs could not be used because of dirt and dust. All other porches were neat and cleaned. I asked our host to arrange someone to clean the porch and dirty cushions. She responded that someone would attend to it. We left and no one arrived to clean. We couldn't use our porch. The sink/coffee station area where glasses are packed, was so dusty that when you lifted the glasses left a ring of dust below. Even though stating self-catering, every accommodation I have stayed in in the past, had coffee, tea, sugar and milk out of common curtesy, but not this room. Bare minimum.
