L'Antico Portone - Fantastico Bilocale a Scilla

La cocina tiene de todo, está muy bien equipada. Dentro de la nevera habia agua y hielo, en los gabinetes encontré café, pasta, aceite, sal, azucar... la verdad es q con poco más, estuve muy comoda y pude cocinar y ahorrar un poco. La ubicación es muy buena y cerca del ascensor que te lleva a la playa por 2€ y de las escaleras si quieres bordear las casitas o el puerto. Subiendo por el ascensor, la caminata desde el tren es muy amena atravesando el boulevard de la playa y calculo q pueden ser unos 15min, si subes a pie si es un poco más de tiempo y energía especialmente con equipaje, aunq un taxi puede llevarte por 10€. Las vistas en los alrededores de este alojamiento son magníficas. Tiene lavadora/secadora que es un plus maravilloso.

La ducha del baño no tiene puerta, solo una cortina en medio del baño separa el espacio de ducha. De resto es amplio, bien equipado y bien ubicado.

The host was extremely kind and picked us up in his car at the train station when we arrived. We really appreciated this, since we had a very long train journey from Puglia to arrive in Scilla, and it is quite a climb from sea level, where the station is located, to the old town where we stayed. He gave us a lot of information on Scilla - the three parts being the old town, the beach area and Chianalea, and also told us about the lift we could use to get to sea level to go to the beach or Chianalea. We however used the stairs going down an back up, and only used the lift the day we left and had our luggage with us. Although the bedroom and bathroom are quite small, it had everything one needs, including a washing machine which we really needed after several days of travel. The kitchen was large and very well equipped. The location was absolutely fantastic - a quiet little street with no traffic, but just a few steps from the piazza where we could watch the beautiful sunsets, see Sicily and the Aeolian island on the horizon and experience the wonderful atmosphere during the passeggiata. We really enjoyed our 4 days in Scilla - we visited all three parts of the town, swam at the beach several times, and took a daytrip to Messina in Sicily (by traveling by train to Villa San Giovanni and then by ferry to Messina). We can strongly recommend this apartment. Grazie mille Antonio!!

It is not something that can easily be changed due to the layout of the apartment in a building in the old town, and it was not a problem for us, but the small shower and the limited space between the foot of the bed and the cupboard, could perhaps bother some people. However, the positive aspects of the apartment make up for this many times over.

We liked the location. It was close to the main square. We enjoyed walking to the supermarket and other parts of the town. Antonio was very helpful and responded quickly when we had questions. The people in the town were friendly.

The bathroom was fine, but challenging. The toilet was in a corner.
