    Unfortunately due to some things happening during my stay, I had to give a lower rating. Check in was smooth, I was welcomed to an old hotel that retains the old architecture of Thailand which was a plus as I visit Mahasarakham for cultural experience. The first night was a nightmare. I heard rats scuffling above the ceiling at around 4am. At 7am I was awaken by receptionist and a guest to check the room as the previous guest left her passport in the room and wanted to check. It was very unfortunate for me to be disturbed. The next day I request for a change of room and they gave me a room on the ground floor, which was surprisingly much better. I gave a 5 stars for the staffs as they were very young and enthusiastic. I ordered some drinks and tipped them for motivation. If you're staying for just a couple of days, I would suggest booking the sister hotel right infront called Taksila hotel. It is better I think

    I stayed here as a base to visit some of the fantastic temples in the area . The hotel is a good place for that , it’s a little dated now with the pool particularly looking a bit worse for wear . The room itself was ideal and if you like large mirrors on every wall , giving that spacious feeling and very good for those bed Olympic moments you’ll love it . The staff where pleasant and answered any queries efficiently. There is a small mall around 7 minutes walk away and a great night market serving excellent food about 10 minutes walk away . To walk here you can walk along side a river which is a nice alternative to nearly getting run over by scooters every couple of minutes .
