Prospective guests should be aware of certain nuances before booking their stay. Firstly, access to the lodge requires an SUV due to gravel roads, a detail conveniently omitted until after booking. Central Reservations' oversight in forwarding personal details, including dietary requirements, sets a disappointing tone upon arrival. While the staff's warm welcome and briefing on facilities are appreciated, the culinary experience falls short. "High tea" resembles more of a late lunch, lacking variety and clarity on dish contents. Dinner, served late and mediocre in quality, failed to impress, prompting an early exit for tired guests. Kids' dining experiences were equally underwhelming, with delayed lunches and minimal snacks at the Kids Club. Family game drives lacked refreshments and limited ponchos/blankets were available, an oversight considering their duration.
