I would recommended. Overall the value for money is great. Wasnt expecting more than what I found tbh plus the manager and his friend Owen are super friendly and helpful.

Good for Solo Travelers, as a Hostel it is very good. The behavior and helpful approach from the owner is was additional thing that should be mentioned. Highly recommended

I'll put the most damming thing here first. If this doesn't turn you away, then read on after. BED CLOTHES ARE NOT CHANGED CLEAN BETWEEN GUESTS! I saw guests who stayed multiple nights, were ill and suffering night sweats and sick coughing and after they left the same bed clothes were used, unwashed or even unaired, for the next guess. I know because I "tagged" the sheet and the tag was still there for next guest. Still here? Ok, read on, you sicko! It's basically a narrow end of terrace residential house converted into a guest house with the bare minimum of outfitting. Owner says he's been in hotel business for 20 years and operating his own business now for 2 years. You be the judge of that on your arrival. No identifying signage. It looks just like the photo (house door and window only) Even the Bates Motel had a sign! No manned reception. The owner lives in-house and if you knock on the front door and someone's home, you are checked in! Otherwise wait a few hours Here's things listed as amenities on the booking site but totally untrue... No secure luggage storage (a small number of bags can be accommodated in owners ground floor private lounge where he hangs out most of the day and locks when he is away from it.) No personal lockers No doors on men's dorm room only a privacy curtain which extends to cover only 50% entranceway. No AC or fans No CCTV No refrigerator No microwave No usable cookware, dinnerware or glasses/cups 2 disused toilet units in kitchen cupboards!!! No towels No lock on men's toilet room No shower head holder in men's bathroom Cracked shower screen on men's in-bath shower Only one mens wash room (1 shower 1 toilet 1 sink) all behind same door for 12 men Only 1 other men's toilet room (total 2 toilets 1 shower 1 sink for 12 men) No ladders to upper bunks (discover your inner cat) No bunk lights or power outlets. Plug outlets in kitchen or near dorm entrance arches only. No bunk privacy curtains Mattress coversheet is same area as mattress top so will not tuck or stay during sleep Bed clothes are cheap basic and showing massive wear and tear with age. Most mattresses are losing firmess No TV room. No TV, period! Common area is the kitchen with only 2 small tables, 1 small corner sofa and 2 wooden stools Dorms are basic and therefore clean but the kitchen, bathroom and garden are somewhat grubby and poorly maintained and not acceptably cleaned. Not for foodies! I do not recommend this place for western female travellers (solo or otherwise). You won't like the facilities and you will find the neighborhood very traditional conservative male-centred. But, on the upside... Police station and large hospital close by Lots of transport links (minibus, large bus, train) on your doorstep (3 mins walk). 30 mins walk to metro and tram stops on main road. Traditional authentic Turkish neighbourhood 3 mins walk away with cosy town square full of restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, ATMs, vibrant and bustling from early morning to midnight every day with very few tourists. Sea coast only 5 mins walk away and swimming from the rocks is popular and refreshing. Larger shopping road is 30 mins walk away with even more transport options. But... Stay at your own peril!
