When we arrived at the resort we were extremely disappointed to find out we had to climb around 50 very steep stone steps with no railing to get to our room. As two young girls with 85L rucksacks on this was extremely difficult and I’m sure this would be worse with a suitcase. Upon our departure we kindly asked for help bringing our bags down the stairs as we were worried about falling and causing injuries. We were told we would have to pay them to do this so ended up having to struggle bringing them down. The light in the bedroom is also on a 1 minute timer meaning at night the only light comes from the bathroom making it difficult to navigate.

really good location so close to many restaurants shops laundry places ect and 2 mins from the beach, we stayed in the ones right at the top so unless you fancy that every night book one a bit lower

The low price matches the amenities however the view was world class. If you want an authentic experience of living like Thai live then stay on the hill and enjoy the view for an unbeatable price.

The location was good, close to shark bay, freedom beach and plenty of food options available. The room we were given was tiny, had no AC, no hot water and a pathetic fan. We booked for 5 nights but had enough after 3. We found a place last minute in sairee that was the same price and had a spacious room with both AC and hot water. We would recommend staying a couple of nights in sairee as well as some time in the Chalok Baan Kao area if you have time. Just not the JP resort.
