It’s kind of far from proper Guihulngan .room was clean though the hallway going to our room was so dark. Place was so relaxing, if you’ll visit during summer , you’ll experience beautiful sunrise by the beach.

My Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5 Stars) Stay Duration: 3 Nights Room Type: Deluxe Room The Bottom Line While the resort occupies a convenient, easy-to-find location with a nice coastal backdrop, the hidden fees, weak maintenance, and lackluster amenities make it poor value for the money. If you are used to the accommodation standards and inclusive amenities of cities like Cebu for the same price point, you will likely leave here feeling nickel-and-dimed. 1. Location & The Property Finding the Place: Excellent. The resort is incredibly easy to locate, situated right along the national highway in Barangay Mckinley, Guihulngan City. The Layout: The property features a variety of rooms and standalone villas. Pool & Beach: There is a decent swimming pool with varying depths which is good for families. The beach directly behind the resort offers a nice view, though the experience is slightly marred by patches of trash lying around the area. 2. The Deluxe Room Experience While advertised as a "Deluxe" accommodation, the actual room performance fell short of basic hospitality standards: The Good: The room itself is spacious enough. It comes equipped with a double bed, a small working space, a closet, and an attached restroom. The Bad (The AC & Fridge): The air conditioning unit is weak and struggles to cool the space efficiently. Furthermore, there is no mini-fridge provided to keep drinks cold. The Ugly (The Restroom): The bathroom had significant maintenance issues. There was a persistent, unpleasant odor coming directly from the floor drainage, and the shower unit itself was completely defective. 3. Pricing, Hidden Fees, & Food (Where It Went Wrong) The biggest disappointment of this stay was the resort's pricing model and its practice of charging extra for standard guest amenities. The "Pay-to-Sit" Pool Policy: Despite paying upfront for a 3-night stay, we were shocked to find out that we had to pay an extra fee just to use a table and chairs by the pool. Because nothing is permanently set up in the pool area, the resort treats basic seating as a paid add-on rather than a standard, complimentary inclusion for checked-in guests. Overpriced Breakfast: Breakfast costs ₱150 and is incredibly meager, consisting of just a serving of rice, two small cuts of ham, and a single egg. The Coffee Charge: In almost any standard hotel, morning coffee is complimentary. Here, they charge an additional ₱50 just to get a cup with your breakfast. Final Verdict: The room rates are steep for what you actually get. Between the broken plumbing, the weak AC, and having to pay extra just to sit near the pool or drink a cup of coffee, the hospitality here feels incredibly transactional rather than welcoming. Look elsewhere if you want proper value for your money.
