GOLDEN SUNSET INN

I arrived a little early and notified them early by email . I got a response from their rude receptionist saying subject to availability. I got confused because I already paid for my booking. When I arrived at the hotel I got greeted by an unwelcoming staff. He/she just tild me sternly that we have to wait exactly at 2pm. I saw they were still cleaning and I decided to eat at the nearby restaurant. After I ate, I waited for 2 hours and decided to ask my friend to check if the room is ready. Again , the he/ she receptionist sternly said “ check-is 2pm. So, I went there myself to check looked at the rooms and noticed that cleaning was already done. So, I went and tried to talk to the receptionist if I can check in it was already almost 12noon and we were very tired since we woke up at 3am to catch the boat. Instead of her/him saying let me check if room was available . She again sternly at me and I already told you check in was 2pm. I was was gonna offer to pay extra to check in early since room was ready. At this time , I lost my cool and put her in her place . I said what happened to customer service, she started raising her at me and me angry. I am a paying and should not be treated that way. She even told me to go check in at another place. I asked for them to return my money so I can use it at another inn. The owner did not offer any consolation. Future guest beware of this place . Pictures in Agoda is not accurate. The room is very small, there is no TV( In all my travel here in the islands, I have never been in a room with no TV. The location is awful. Very noisy due to its proximity to the road and to other business establishment. My experience was really terrible in this place. I will never come back to this even if it is given free.

We highly recommend Golden Sunset Inn. We have stayed for 5days & 4nights with them. They have accommodating staff, the place is aesthetic, they have a pool (if you simply want to unwind). Their place is near a convenience store, pharmacies and restaurants. As for the room, they have air condition rooms, a hot & cold shower, a free cleaning service and a WiFi connection. They don't serve breakfast meals since they only accommodate stays. As for room prices, it is at a reasonable price. 10/10, we had an amazing stay at San Juan, Siquijor!

We arrived and they wouldn't allow us to check in early regardless of the willingness to pay and the distance of travel and exhaustuon. Grabe blackout pero may power backup. The place is clean and ac is cool enough. Location is very nice kasi malapit sa mga tourist spots. May motor rental sila pero mukhang kulang sa maintainance at zero bar na ang gas meter nung binigay sa amin. Isa pa Sobrang hina ng wifi pero ang mahal ng accomodation. May pool sila which is a plus. Would I stay here? Maybe pero I think may better options pa.

We booked last minute and didn't have many choices. Pro's: Location Con's: Small rooms, noisy air-conditioning, no outdoor sitting space, no on-site restaurant, not good value for money.
