Villa Vanda

Location and parking. Car was parked 25 meters from entrance and we could walk to Calde (small port town nearby) in 10 minutes. Even though it was very hot outside (35 degrees !), the apartment stayed pretty cool, also at night. The double bed was comfortable and since we did not use the second bed room, we had plenty of room for our luggage.

Don’t plan to cook anything. The “kitchen” does not deserve that name 😂. But then again…who wants to cook when you have all those nice restaurants close by ! Italian coffee machine size is for one person, why not provide a bigger version ? No cutting knive (if you plan to cut bread or salami) nor a wine bottle opener. The sitting area outside is missing a sun umbrella and pillows for the very hard (but nice) stone bench / table corner. A sun chair would have been nice.

Everyone, without exception

A very spacious villa, car parking on the property was very useful. We were able to check in very late as the key was in the lockbox. Very convenient location as well, it was easy to reach nearby villages by car. Nice tip - if you walk to the lake from the property, there is a local bar that does evening events right by the lake, we got to enjoy a live band while looking at the lake and the night sky.
